Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department 77th Area Criminal Gang and Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would help them to piece together details of a homicide case in South Los Angeles.
On Monday, December 6, 2010, at about 9:10 p.m., 49-year-old Santos Valerio Turcios went to an apartment complex in the 900 block of West 82nd Street where his teenage daughter had been drinking with a 15-year-old male suspect. Turcios confronted the suspect and became involved in an argument.
During the argument, the suspect stabbed Turcios and then left the scene. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics rushed the victim to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
Investigators located and arrested the juvenile suspect, but the weapon is outstanding, and the investigation is ongoing.
