Dispute Leaves One Dead; Motive Unknown

Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting incident that led to the death of Sean Hurd, a 30 year-old male Black.
On March 2, 2003 at approximately 9:55 p.m., Los Angeles police officers responded to the 7400 block of South Vermont Avenue for a family dispute. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim in his apartment, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital were he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.
The suspect and weapon remain outstanding.
