District Attorney Files Charges on LAPD Officer NR19326bm

***The fatal overdose of the woman occurred on October 20, 2019. The allegation against Rojas was brought to the department on November 20, 2019.***

Los Angeles: This morning, investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Internal Affairs Division arrested Police Officer II David Rojas, a 4-year veteran of the Department, for 7052(a) of the California Health and Safety Code, sexual contact with remains known to be human.

The allegation against Rojas was brought to the Department during the course of an investigation into the fatal overdose of a woman on November 11th, 2019. Investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Internal Affairs Criminal Investigation Division, worked diligently to complete their investigation, which was presented to the District Attorney’s office on December 10, 2019. Today, the District Attorney’s office filed one felony count of 7052(a) of the California Health and Safety Code against Rojas. Bail for Rojas was set at $20,000.
