Domestic Incident Results in a Homicide
North Hollywood: On January 21, 2026, around 4:00 a.m., a male entered the Los Angeles Police Department, Northeast Community Police Station, and requested that officers conduct a welfare check on his wife. He provided officers with the address of their residence on the 5600 block of Satsuma Avenue in North Hollywood.
North Hollywood officers subsequently responded to the welfare check. Upon entry into the residence, they discovered a female with blunt force trauma who had succumbed to her injuries prior to their arrival. A homicide crime scene was established, and Robbery-Homicide Division, Valley Bureau Section assumed investigative responsibility of the incident.
Homicide investigators conducted interviews, reviewed videos, and processed the crime scene. Their investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were in a marital relationship and that this was an incident of domestic violence.
The victim was identified as Mayra Jimenez, 55-year-old, who resided in North Hollywood.
The suspect was identified as Andrew Jimenez, 45-year-old, who resided in North Hollywood.
This tragic incident was an isolated event and there is no threat to public safety.
Andrew Jimenez has been booked for Murder and bail was set at $2 million.
