To display and discuss some of the crime fighting tools that will be used in efforts to keep shoppers safe this holiday season.

Crime fighting strategies include: the Volunteer Mounted Patrol, Senior Lead Officers, Bicycle Patrol Officers and Police Explorers.  There will also be Footbeat Officers on T-3 vehicles.  For reference, the Volunteer Mounted Patrol is a group of men and women from the community who apply their joy for riding horses with their wish to volunteer and help the LAPD prevent and fight crime. The T-3s are three-wheel personal mobility vehicles that are electric and environmentally friendly.  They feature a raised platform that enhances an officer’s view of large crowds and allows them to cover large areas.

For additional information, please contact Sergeant Desi Ehrlich, Topanga Station at 818-756-3180.
