Double Fatal Traffic Collision in Central Area NR23105am

Los Angeles:  Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division are investigating a double fatal traffic collision that killed both the driver and pedestrian.

On April 27, 2023, around 1:26 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred between a vehicle and a pedestrian on 6th Street west of Alameda Street.  A 25-year-old male pedestrian was walking westbound on the sidewalk of 6th Street when a vehicle traveling westbound collided with him. The vehicle continued in a westbound direction and collided with a building.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the driver and pedestrian to a local hospital where they were both pronounced deceased.  Their names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office.
