Arrest in Double Homicide of Two Siblings
Los Angeles: The FBI and LAPD Fugitive Task Force has made an arrest in the double homicide of two siblings from Westchester.
On November 21, 2018 at about 9:45 a.m. FBI-LAPD Fugitive Task Force members arrested an unnamed 17year-old juvenile for the November 17, 2018 murders.
The victim’s were found after a call of a structure fire in the 8600 block of Belford Avenue.
Both victims had suffered gunshot wounds.
The suspect was arrested in the 1900 block of 22nd Street in Los Angeles.
A second male juvenile was arrested for being an accessory to this homicide.
This crime was domestic violence related. The juvenile murder suspect was a boyfriend of one of the victims.
The victim’s vehicle was recovered this afternoon in the 1300 block of West 35th Place in Los Angeles.
This is an active investigation. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney for filing consideration on Monday, November 26, 2018. Anyone with information should call LAPD West Bureau Homicide investigators at (213) 382-9470.
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Bureau Homicide Unit is investigating a fire that left two unidentified victims dead in Westchester.
On Saturday, November 17, 2018 around 9:04 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to a structure fire at an apartment building in the 8600 block of Belford Avenue. When firefighters arrived, they observed citizens attempting to put out the fire from outside of the apartment. LAFD made entry and found two victims. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. There was evidence suggesting that both victims suffered gunshot wounds, and this case is being investigated as an Arson-Homicide.
