Doughnut Shop Armed Robber Sought Images Caught on Tape NR10254gb

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man who robbed a doughnut store at gunpoint on May 4, 2010, in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.

At around 1:45 a.m., a man walked into the shop located in the 1700 block of Western Avenue.  The man was carrying a “tec-9” type gun, confronted a male employee and demanded money.  The suspect took the money from the cash register and ordered the employee down to the ground.  The robber escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No one was injured during this incident.

The gunman is described as a male African American.  He stands about 6 feet tall and weighs 220 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jean pants and black shoes.  He was also wearing black gloves.
