"Drive-By Shooting Claims a Life"

Los Angeles – On Friday night, April 21, 2000, at approximately 9:50 pm., 38 year old Stonette McDade, was sitting on a small cement wall in front of 449 West 74th Street. Four male Hispanics drove by in a car when one of the occupants of the car armed with an unknown type semi-automatic weapon, exposed himself out of the sunroof and fired several rounds at the victim, striking the victim once. The victim was treated at the scene and was subsequently transported to Martin Luther King (MLK) Hospital where she died as a result of her injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as an unknown year, gray BMW, 300 Series, two door, with sun roof. Although not established, the motive appears to be gang related,
