Driver Loses Control of Vehicle: Passenger Dies

Los Angeles: On Thursday, December 12, 2002 at 7:40 p.m., a black, 1994 325I BMW was being driven southbound Beverly Glen past Beverly Ridge Drive. The BMW was being driven at a speed greater than prudent for the conditions. The BMW crossed over to the next lane, coming in contact with the left front of a 1995 ES300 Lexus, also driving southbound.
Upon contact with the Lexus, the BMW lost control and crossed over the double yellow lines at approximately 90 degrees and was struck broadside by a motor vehicle being driven northbound Beverly Glen.
The passenger in the BMW was transported to an area hospital were she died. The driver was admitted for his injuries. The occupants of the northbound vehicle were transported to a local area hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Lexus did not sustain any injuries.
