Los Angeles: On Saturday, May 15, 2004, at 7:30 p.m., Antonio Perez Lopez, a 36-year old resident of Newhall, was driving his 1989 Mitsubishi north on San Fernando Road. Lady Solomon, a 58-year old woman from Canyon Country was driving south on San Fernando Road when the heavily intoxicated Lopez, crossed over into opposing traffic lanes. Lopez struck Solomon head on, killing her on impact. After crashing into Solomon, Lopez overturned his car and struck a 1998 Chevrolet van driven by Granada Hills resident, Harutyan Bagumyan. Bagumyan suffered numerous broken bones as a result of the head on crash.
After being treated for multiple injuries to his hands, Valley Traffic Division Officers arrested and booked Lopez for gross negligence, driving under the influence, manslaughter.
