San Fernando Valley: On Saturday, December 8, 2001, at approximately 7:40 a.m., a fatal hit and run traffic collision occurred. Ninety-two year-old Ann Klugman, was attempting to cross Vanowen Street at Woodman Avenue when she was struck and killed by an eastbound vehicle. The occupant(s) of the vehicle that struck Klugman continued eastbound failing to stop and render aid or to identify themselves.
The hit-and-run vehicle is described as a green, 4-door, 1992 Lincoln Towncar. Witnesses stopped at the scene to provide others at the location with the suspect’s vehicle information, but the witnesses did not leave their names. We are requesting the public’s help in locating the hit-and-run vehicle and driver.
Family members of the deceased victim will be present.
