"Employee Organizations Representing The Men And Women Of The Los Angeles Police Department Offer Their Unwavering Support To Chief Parks"
Los Angeles: On Monday, December 10, 2001, a coalition of LAPD employee organizations, who represent thousands of sworn and civillian personnel from every ethnicity throughout the Department, offered their support to Chief Bernard Parks.
The employee organizations offering support include, the Association of Black Enforcement Executives (ABLE), Golden State Peace Officers Association (GSPOA), Hispanic Law Enforcement Administrators (HLEA), Los Angeles Women Police Officers’ Association (LAWPOA), Law Enforcement Association of Asian Pacifics (LEAAP), Oscar Joel Bryant Foundation (OJB), and the Shomrim Society of Southern California (Shomrim).
These organizations recognize that under Chief Parks’ leadership, the Los Angeles Police Department has aggressively moved forward in providing quality service to our communities in a number ways. Specifically, the organizations cited the following programs and initiatives.
