On July 5, 2025, 25-year-old Emerson Gonzalez-Escobar was traveling eastbound on 91st St negotiating a north left turn when he was struck by a white, Porsche Panamera, traveling southbound Figueroa St at a high rate of speed. Immediately after the collision, the female driver and two female passengers exited the Porsche and began removing items from inside of the cab and trunk of the vehicle. A citizen recording the suspect with a cellphone, pleaded with her to do the right thing and stop, stay, and check on the victim. The suspect became irate and began screaming obscenities at the good Samaritan while attempting to flee. All three occupants of the Porsche fled on foot to an unknown location. Sadly, Emerson Gonzalez-Escobar succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced at scene by LAFD.

We are releasing video and images of the suspect and announcing the $50,000 reward for any information leading to the identity, arrest and conviction of the person responsible for striking and killing Emerson Gonzalez-Escobar.
