Fatal Shooting in El Sereno NR18137ml

El Sereno: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a murder suspect.

On May 13, 2018, at 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 5300 block of East Huntington Drive North.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male Hispanic, lying on the dirt median strip near a homeless encampment suffering from a gunshot wound.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and provided emergency medical treatment. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.
