East Hollywood: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that left a man dead.
On Friday morning, September 10, 2021 around 3:00 a.m., LAPD Northeast Division officers responded to a call of shots fired with one victim down near the 4500 block of Hollywood Boulevard. The victim was unresponsive when officers arrived. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and pronounced the victim dead at scene.
The victim, identified as 33-year-old Kareem Johnson, was exiting his vehicle when unknown suspects approached and shot him.
The motive for this homicide is unknown. Detectives learned during the investigation that there were several people who may have observed the incident. The victim’s family and the police department are asking the community to help solve this crime.
