Fatal Vehicle vs Pedestrian Traffic Collision NR19292jc

Sunland-Tujunga: On Thursday, October 24, 2019, at 8:00 p.m., a 2002 silver Mitsubishi Montero was traveling eastbound on Sunland Boulevard when it collided with a pedestrian. The male pedestrian was in the roadway walking westbound in the eastbound lane on Sunland Boulevard when he was struck. The driver remained at scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The pedestrian was a male believed to be approximately 59 years old. His name will not be released until next-of-kin are notified.

Pedestrians are reminded to always use the sidewalk and not to walk in the street.
