Los Angeles: A child cries because he is hungry, there is nothing his parents can do. There is no food, no money for food. Each day Los Angeles Police Officers witness the pain and suffering of families in need. But this Christmas, 50 families in Hollenbeck will not go hungry! Thanks to some LAPD holiday angels who care about the community they serve.
For the second year, members of the LAPD Latin American Enforcement Association, LaLey, will put smiles on the faces of children and food on the table during its annual food basket give-a-way at Hollenbeck Middle School. Families in need will find baskets stuffed with goodies and valuable food coupons.
