Los Angeles: The Los
Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic detectives are seeking
the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved in a hit
and run that seriously injured a 34-year-old female.
On Friday, July 7, 2017, around 10:45 p.m., a vehicle traveling
northbound on Denker Avenue collided with a pedestrian, who was
walking westbound across Denker Avenue, outside of the crosswalk.
The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and render
assistance. The vehicle fled northbound Denker Avenue. The victim
was transported to a local hospital and was treated for cranial
bleeding, a laceration to the back of her head, abrasions to her
arm and possible fractured legs.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles
Administrative Code and created a Hit and Run Reward Program Trust
Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members
who provide information leading to the offender’s identification,
apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil
