Valley Glen: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division detectives are investigating a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that left a woman in her 70’s in critical condition.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, around 9:20 a.m., a silver Lexus NX350H was traveling east on Chandler Boulevard from Van Nuys Boulevard when it collided with a pedestrian who was crossing Chandler Boulevard northbound in a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian sustained severe injuries from the impact. The vehicle continued east on Chandler Boulevard, fleeing the scene. The driver failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid, as required by law.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition. Her name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Valley Traffic Division detectives are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with any information regarding this felony hit-and-run.
Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
