November 15, 2020

Los Angeles: On Sunday, November
15, 2020, at approximately 6:55 a.m., a male pedestrian was walking
northbound on Broadway at 7th Street, in a marked crosswalk, when
he was hit by a dark four door vehicle, possibly a Dodge
Avenger.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on 7th Street at Broadway, when
the vehicle ran a red light and went into oncoming westbound
traffic and collided with the pedestrian.

The vehicle continued eastbound on 7th Street where it stopped at
7th Street and Spring Street; the driver exited the vehicle, looked
at the damage to his or her vehicle, then fled the location without
rendering aid or identifying him or herself as required by
law.

The suspect is described as a heavy-set male or female wearing a
yellow vest. Video surveillance captured the traffic collision and
captured the driver exiting their vehicle at 7th and Spring. The
pedestrian was transported to USCMC with severe injuries.
