Female Pedestrian Killed by a Hit and Run Driver

Los Angeles: On August 2, 2003, at 9:15 p.m., a female White was killed in a tragic vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision. The collision occurred on Pacific Avenue just north of 39th Street in Harbor Area.
The victim was crossing Pacific Avenue in an eastbound direction just north of 39th Street when she was struck by a late model Chevrolet, Silverado, full size pick-up truck, that was traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue. The truck should have damage to the right front headlight, is equipped with a chrome tubular front bumper and a black roll bar in the bed, mounted against the cab.
According to witnesses, the truck did not stop and was last seen traveling northbound on Pacific Avenue.

UPDATE: The suspect driving the truck is described as a male, White, 25-30 years-old, long curly hair and gold front teeth. The suspect’s Chevrolet Silverado truck color is red and has chrome wheels.
Los Angeles City Fire Department responded to the scene and transported the victim to San Pedro Peninsula Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
