Fifth Annual Kids Bike Rodeo

On Saturday, November 20, 1999 the Los Angeles Police Department and the Palms/Westside Neighborhood Watch will sponsor their Fifth Annual Kids’ Bike Rodeo from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Palms Middle School, located at 10860 Woodbine Street.

Attending will be Chief Bernard Parks, Deputy Chief Rick Dinse, Commanding Officer Operations West Bureau, Captain Gary Williams, Commanding Officer Pacific Community Police Station, and Senior Lead Officer Kimberly Kempton.

The Bike Rodeo will provide safety instructions, road course instructions, and certificates will be presented to graduates upon completion of the two courses. Refreshments and beverages will be provided by area merchants and contributors at no cost to all participants.

At the conclusion, a drawing will be conducted to give away 27 bicycles, which have been donated by area merchants, community members, and officers of the Los Angeles Police Department.
