Fundraiser for Mission Area Officer Fighting for his Life

July 27, 2011

WHAT:
Fundraiser and silent auction

WHEN:
July 28 and July 29, 2011
8 a.m.-5 p.m.

WHERE:
Mission Area Police Station
11121 North Sepulveda Boulevard
Mission Hills 91345

WHY:
Officer Chris was diagnosed with a life threatening form of cancer in 2011. He fought back and thought he had won the war, only to find there would be serious new battles to wage.  Officer Chris is currently hospitalized undergoing intensive life saving measures. The LAPD family wants their brother officer to know that they are here for him and his family and want to do whatever possible to help them through this difficult time.

Professional Photographer Steven Cheney will be taking individual and family portraits for FREE. This is a great opportunity for families who would normally not spend money on professional portraits. Portraits start at 10 a.m. each day.

A silent auction will be held for lots of cool stuff like tickets to a Lakers’ Game in Magic Johnson’s Luxury Box, a ride along with the elite LAPD K-9 Unit, and a day at Angeles Rifle Range with LAPD SWAT Snipers.

Everyone is invited to take advantage of the great deals on breakfast lunch and dinner, 50 percent off Mission Carnival Tickets and an opportunity to meet and greet Deputy Chief Albanese at about 3pm.

Those not able to make it to the event planned at Mission Station can still make a donation through the Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union Blue Ribbon Trust Fund for Officer Chris.
