Gang Shooting Takes Another Life

Los Angeles: 77th Street Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a shooting incident which led to the death of Bobby McGee, a 24 year-old, male Black.
The incident occurred on Friday, January 3, 2003, at approximately 10:20 p.m., in the 1300 block of West 57th Street, Los Angeles.
McGee was standing near a car amongst friends in front of an apartment building complex, when unknown suspect(s) drove by and fired rounds at McGee from an unknown caliber gun.
Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded and transported McGee to Martin Luther King Jr. Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The suspect(s) vehicle was described as a small compact vehicle, dark in color. The motive is gang-related, however, the suspect(s) and weapon remain outstanding.
