WHAT:
The Los Angeles Police Department is having a groundbreaking ceremony for the Valley Communications Dispatch Center

WHEN:
Monday, November 15, 1999
2:00 p.m.

WHERE:
23001 Roscoe Boulevard
West Hills, CA

WHY:
To formally commence the building of the Valley Communications Dispatch Center. The building will be 58,000 square feet, which will include an operations floor of 15,000 square feet accommodating 80 consoles. This project is funded by Proposition M, approved by the voters in November 1992. Mayor Richard Riordan, Chief Bernard Parks and Councilmember Hal Bernson will be among the dignitaries present for this special occasion.
