Gruesome Hit-and-Run Collision Kills Pedestrian on Riverside Drive NR14063rf

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Division (CTD) detectives are seeking information from the public about a fatal hit-and-run traffic incident on Riverside Drive.

Last night around 10 p.m., a man crossing Riverside Drive just south of Fletcher Drive was struck by two vehicles heading southbound on Riverside Drive.  Detectives believe he was lying on the pavement from the impact of the first vehicle when a second vehicle struck him and dragged his body a short distance.  Both drivers left the scene without stopping to identify themselves or render aid as required by law.

The investigation has revealed that one of the vehicles may be a black Hyundai or Kia sedan with damage to the left side.  The model and year of the car are unknown.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.  He has not yet been identified, but is described as a white male in his mid-40s, wearing dark clothing.
