Gunfire Exchanged During Attempted Robbery NR23737mo

The Department is continuing the robbery investigation involving Vince Ricci. The Los Angeles Police Department has not issued nor revoked a permit to carry a concealed weapon involving Mr. Ricci.

 

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in an armed robbery attempt.

On November 4, 2023, around 7:30 p.m., two suspects approached a male victim who was standing in front of his residence, located in the 400 block of Plymouth Boulevard. Suspect 1, armed with an unknown-type handgun, demanded property from the victim. The victim reacted and armed himself, shooting at Suspect 1. Suspect 1 shot back at the victim before fleeing from the area. Suspect 1 fled in a dark-colored sedan, driven by Suspect 3. Suspect 2 fled on foot.

The victim was not injured. It is unknown if the suspects were injured in the exchange of gunfire.

Suspect 1: male, Black, 5’10”, wearing a black ski mask, black shirt, and black pants, armed with unknown-type handgun.

Suspect 2: male, Black, 5’9”, wearing a mask, gray hooded sweatshirt with blue stripe from shoulder to arm.

Suspect 3: unknown description, driver.
