Gunshot Victim Driven to Hospital, Dies

Los Angeles: On July 4, 2003, at about 3:30 p.m., West Valley Area patrol officers responded to a shooting victim call at Northridege Medical Center.
The investigation revealed that 19 year-old Joe Lima had been shot several times in the chest by an unidentified suspect(s) in the alley rear to Roscoe Boulevard and Zelzah Avenue.
Lima’s friends drove him to Northridge Medical Center where he died as a result of his gunshot wound. The motive for the shooting is unknown and the suspect(s) remain outstanding.
