WHY:
First responders face unique and significant mental health challenges due to the nature of their work. This walk honors those lost to suicide, raises awareness, and reinforces the LAPD’s longstanding commitment to officer wellness. The event also highlights the pioneering role of LAPD’s Behavioral Science Services, one of the nation’s most comprehensive wellness programs since its founding in 1968.
