March 19, 2025

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that left a 4-year-old child deceased.

On March 18, 2025, around 11:00 p.m., a white Infiniti FX35 was driving at a high rate of speed northbound Crenshaw Boulevard at Rodeo Place. The vehicle lost control and collided into a building on the northwest corner of Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Place. The driver of the vehicle failed to remain at scene and render aid to a 4-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The driver abandoned the vehicle at scene and fled in a white sedan.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the 4-year-old to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Two other passengers were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, one of them being the 4-year-old child’s mother.

The driver who fled from the scene was described as a Black female, possibly in her 30’s.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and acreated a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
