Hit and Run Leaves a Bicyclist Dead NR21171ti

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a fatal hit and run suspect.

On June 10, 2021, around 11:41 p.m., the victim was riding his bicycle eastbound on Jefferson Boulevard at West Boulevard, when he was struck by a vehicle described as a dark colored SUV with LED headlights. The driver of the vehicle failed to render aid or comply with the law and fled the scene eastbound on Jefferson Boulevard.

The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at scene by paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
