Hit-and-Run Leaves Bicyclist Severely Injured
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help identifying a driver involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision that severely injured a bicyclist.
On May 28, 2025, around 3:15 a.m., a bicyclist traveling southbound Hoover Street on the west sidewalk crossing 20th Street was struck by a white sedan, making a left turn onto 20th Street from Hoover Street. The driver of the white sedan failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the bicyclist, as required by law. The vehicle fled westbound 20th Street, towards the 10 freeway.
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the bicyclist to a local hospital for further medical treatment. He is described as a male in his 60’s.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
