Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Dead

Los Angeles: Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division are investigating a felony hit-and-run traffic collision that left a male pedestrian dead.

On December 6, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., a suspect driving a 2008–2010 silver Chrysler 300 four-door sedan was traveling eastbound in the area of Venice Boulevard and Malvern Avenue when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian. The suspect failed to stop, identify themselves, or render aid as required by law, in violation of California Vehicle Code Section 20001(a), Felony Hit-and-Run.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the pedestrian deceased.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as having a non-working driver’s side fog light and a darker shade of paint on the driver’s side door.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 50 to 60-years-old, last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, black shoes, and glasses.

Central Traffic Division detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who has information regarding this fatal hit-and-run to come forward.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a traffic collision, they must stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves. Failing to stop and render aid can turn a traffic collision into a serious felony offense. Pedestrians are also reminded to exercise caution when crossing roadways, obey traffic control signals, use marked crosswalks, and follow all traffic laws.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
