Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Deceased
West Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run traffic collision.
On October 24, 2025, around 5:00 p.m. a 2011 to 2018 black Audi Q3, traveling westbound on Pico Boulevard, struck a pedestrian who was crossing southbound on Fox Hills Drive in the marked crosswalk. The driver of the Audi failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the pedestrian as required by law.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and provided medical treatment to the pedestrian, who succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at scene. The female pedestrian was identified as a 74-year-old Los Angeles area resident.
Drivers are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.
On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $50,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
