Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Severely Injured NR26001kt

Panorama City: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division (VTD) detectives are investigating a hit-and-run traffic collision that caused severe injuries to a 44-year-old man.

On December 7, 2025 around 5:45 a.m., a gray sedan was traveling northbound on Woodley Avenue approaching Sherman Way, when it struck a 44-year-old male pedestrian who was walking in the street on Woodley Boulevard. The driver of the gray sedan failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid as required by law.

The Los Angeles Fire Department’s paramedics responded to the scene and transported victim to a local hospital to be treated for severe injuries.

Motorists are reminded that if they become involved in a collision, they should pull over and stop as soon as it is safe to do so, notify emergency services, and remain at the scene to identify themselves.

On April 15, 2015, the City Council amended the Los Angeles Administrative Code and created a Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund. A reward of up to $25,000 is available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise.
