Hit and Run of Pedestrian in Canoga Park NR16049aj

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Area detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing any information that would lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in a hit and run collision.

On February 13, 2016, around 6:40 p.m., a dark color sedan was traveling eastbound on Saticoy Street between Eton Avenue and Canoga Avenue. The vehicle collided with a pedestrian crossing the street, northbound Saticoy Street. The driver briefly stopped but fled the location without rendering aid or identifying themselves, which is required by law.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local area hospital.

The pedestrian was identified as 40-year-old Alfredo Armando Ipina.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a possible 1995-1996 Toyota Camry with damage to the front right portion of the bumper, hood, and possibly the windshield. There is no suspect description.
