Los Angeles: On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, at approximately 4:15 p.m., 23-year-old male Black victim, Tremel Shaw, was riding a mini bike eastbound on 62nd Street at Normandie Avenue. Mr. Shaw was struck by an unknown type vehicle, which was traveling, northbound on Normandie Avenue in the number one lane. Mr. Shaw was launched into the southbound lanes when he was struck by a 1989-1990 purple and burgundy colored Hyundae. The driver of the Hyundae initially stopped but fled the location. The driver was described as a female Black, 45/50 years of age, 5’4" and 140 lbs.
