Hit and Run Vehicle Seriously Injures a Pedestrian NR13111ne

Los Angeles: Central Traffic Division detectives are asking for the public’s help in providing information regarding a hit and run collision that seriously injured a pedestrian as he crossed the 5100 block of Central Avenue.

The collision occurred on Friday, March 29, 2013, around 11:25 p.m.  The hit and run vehicle was traveling southbound Central Avenue and the pedestrian, a 34 year-old male Hispanic, was walking across Central Avenue in a westerly direction south of 51st street when he was struck.  The driver failed to stop the vehicle to render aid or provide identification as required by law.

The hit and run vehicle was described as a 2003-2005, white Chevolet Impala, with tinted windows, a black stripe on the rear of the trunk, and a possible partial license plate number of 9S0.  The detectives are requesting the assistance of the community to identify and locate both the driver and the hit and run vehicle.
