"Hollywood Detectives Investigate the Stabbing Death of a Male Victim"
 

Los Angeles: On Saturday, November 3, 2001, at approximately 3:15 a.m., Hollywood Patrol Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon radio call on the 6600 block of Santa Monica Boulevard. Upon their arrival they discovered a male, in his 30’s, down on the sidewalk, the apparent victim of a beating and stabbing. Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he subsequently died as a result of his injuries.
No suspects have been identified at this time and the motive for the murder appears to be narcotic related.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification to his next of kin.
