"Home Invasion Robbers Shot 30 Year Old Victim"
 
Northridge: On Tuesday, May 8, 2001, at 1:55 a.m., Devonshire Area Patrol Officers responded to 17200 block of Rinaldi Street on the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, a resident of the location met with the officers outside and advised that his friend was inside the residence and the victim of gunshot wound. The officers immediately summoned the Los Angeles Fife Department’s Rescue Ambulance. Paramedics responded the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where the attending physician pronounced him dead at 2:40 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that two armed masked suspects entered the residence to commit an apparent robbery, which culminated in the shooting death of a friend on one of the residents. The weapon was a handgun.
The victim has been identified as Reginald Moore, 30 years of age and resident of Palmdale.
