Los Angeles: On March 6, 2022, around 3:25 a.m., a Home Invasion Robbery occurred in the 4300 block of Gayle Drive in the Tarzana area of the San Fernando Valley.

The victims were sleeping in the residence being used as a short-term rental when four suspects entered the home through the rear door. At least two of the suspects were armed. The victims were awakened by the suspects demanding their high value jewelry. One of the victims was severely beaten by the suspects during the invasion. The suspects made off with jewelry and other valuable property.

Detectives from Robbery-Homicide Division identified and arrested three men, later the same day, around 10:45 p.m. Two of the three men were linked to these similar crimes:

• On November 29, 2021, around 3:30 a.m., the victim was dropped off on Case Avenue and Burbank Boulevard in North Hollywood after spending the evening at a night club in Hollywood. Two suspects confronted him and demanded his jewelry. The victim ran away from the suspects. The suspects shot at the victim, striking him in the foot. The victim was able to continue his escape. He avoided being robbed and further injury. The victim suffered significant injuries to his foot.

• On February 13, 2022, at 4:45 a.m., a Home Invasion Robbery occurred in the 3900 block of Edenhurst Avenue in the Atwater Village Area of Los Angeles. The suspects followed the victims from the West Hollywood area to their short-term rental. Shortly after entering the home, two suspects forced their way inside. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. The suspects demanded jewelry. The suspects left with high value jewelry and other property. None of the victims were injured.

Deja Childress, a 34- year-old resident of Ontario, Savion Jefferson, a 32-year old resident of Los Angeles, and Terry McGee, a 27-year-old resident of Los Angeles were arrested and charged for the incidents in this case.

Multiple search warrants were conducted in the city of Los Angeles and city of Ontario. Six handguns and one assault rifle were recovered over the course of the investigation.

Robbery-Homicide Division’s Follow Home Task Force assumed investigative responsibility for this case. The Task Force has identified over 200 similar robberies dating back to January 1, 2021. Detectives believe these suspects may be responsible for other crimes.
