Home Invasion Robbery Occurs in Reseda

On Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at approximately 10:30 A.M., a Home Invasion Robbery occurred in the 5700 block of Aura in the City of Reseda. Two victims were in the residence when two males knocked on the door. As the victims opened the door, the suspects forced their way into the residence armed with a blue steel automatic handgun. The suspects bound the victims and proceeded to ransack the residence for approximately one hour. The suspects took property and a safe. The estimated value of the property taken is between $300,000 to $400,000.

Both victims sustained minor injuries. Neither victim required hospitalization and were treated at the scene by LAFD Paramedics.

The suspects are described as two males:

Suspect #1 – 6’1" tall, 170 to 200 pounds, 20/25 years old Suspect #2 – slightly shorter than suspect #1, 140-150 pounds,
in his 30’s wearing a dark suit and tie.

West Valley Robbery Detectives M. Stangland and R. Huerta are currently investigating this case.
