Home Invasion Robbery/Grand Theft Auto
On Thursday, October 7, 1999 at approximately 11:30 P.M., a Home Invasion Robbery/GTA occurred in the 3000 block of Red Rose Drive in the City of Encino. Two victims, both of Korean descent, who reside at the residence, were working in their open garage when they were approached by two armed male Black suspects. The suspects ordered the two victims into their residence at gunpoint. The suspects then directed the two victims to one of the rooms along with additional family members, who were already located in the residence. One of the suspects stood guard while the second suspect proceeded to ransack various rooms of the residence. During the commission of the robbery, several of the victims were physically assaulted by one of the suspects. The suspects then took several items of property and fled in one of the victim’s vehicles that was parked in the front driveway of the residence. The victim’s vehicle is described as a 1997 Lexus ES 300 black/gray, 4-door, License 3WNZ911. The victim’s vehicle has subsequently been recovered. West Valley Robbery Detectives are currently investigating this case. At this stage of the investigation there is no indication that this crime is motivated by hatred.
The suspects and weapon are still outstanding.
Suspect 1 is described as a Male, Black, 6’00" tall, 200-210 pounds, 25-30 years of age, wearing a dark red t-shirt, dark baggy pants, green boots and a black net-type cap with a brim and dark gloves
Suspect 2 is described as a Male, Black, 6’00 tall, 200-210 pounds, 25-30 years of age, wearing black baggy pants and black Fila tennis shoes
