Homicide Detectives Investigate Murder/Suicide

Los Angeles: On Friday, January 24, 2003, at approximately 1:25 p.m., LAPD Hollywood Area officers responded to a shooting call in the 1200 block of North Beachwood Drive.
Upon arrival, the officers discovered a male and female Hispanic dead from gunshot wounds. The common-law marriage couple, 29 year-old Fidencio Rodriguez and 32 year-old Maribel Alvarez, were involved in a domestic dispute that erupted into deadly violence. Investigators determined that Rodriguez shot Alvarez and then shot himself.
