Homicide in Chatsworth NR15279dm

Chatsworth: Los Angeles Police Department Devonshire Area detectives are seeking the assistance from the community in identifying the suspect, or suspects, responsible for the murder of a 50-year-old man.

Early this morning, August 20, 2015, around 2:30 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call of a man down at 10337 DeSoto Ave. They discovered a male victim with severe blunt force trauma.

Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene and notified police. Uniformed patrol officers from Devonshire Division responded and established a crime scene. Devonshire Area detectives responded to the location and are currently investigating the incident as a homicide.

The victim is a male, approximately 50 years of age. The victim is believed to be the on-site manager of the location, which is a transitional housing facility.

The motive for this incident is unknown.
