UPDATE

Ishmell Augustus Sasso is now a suspect in this case. He should be
considered armed and dangerous. He has been known to frequent the
San Diego area.

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s
Newton Division Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s
assistance in locating a person of interest.

On Saturday, September 3, 2016, around 2:30 p.m., the victim and
his friends were at a residence near the 400 block of East 41st
Street, in the city of Los Angeles. The suspect and victim became
involved in a verbal dispute. The suspect produced a semi-automatic
handgun and fired multiple rounds striking the victim.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics responded to the
scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Detectives are attempting to locate a person of interest identified
as Ishmell Augustus Sasso, a 38-year-old male black. He is five
feet and five inches tall and weighs around 165 pounds.
