Homicide in Pacific Division’s Palms Area NR17106aj

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department West Bureau Homicide Division is investigating a shooting that left one man dead in the Palms area.

On Friday, April 14, 2017 around 8:00 p.m., Pacific Area officers responded to a call of a shooting at National Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard. When officers arrived, they found a victim lying in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead.

Witnesses observed a suspect flee in a dark compact SUV traveling northbound through the parking lot. The suspect was described as a male with olive skin complexion.

The circumstances and motive for this homicide are unknown. The victim’s name is not being released pending notification to next of kin.
