Homicide Information/ 77th Division NR20160ll

South Los Angeles: On July 5, 2020, around 10:20 p.m., a homicide occurred in the intersection of 52nd Street and Western.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a male, Black 45 years of age was on the sidewalk when an unknown suspect(s) shot at the victim. The victim sustained gunshot wounds and was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

It is unknown if the incident is gang related.
