Homicide Investigation

Los Angeles: On April 11, 2004, at about 2:45 a.m., Mr. Arturo Silva, 49 years of age, was walking home in the 2100 block of East 115th Street from a friend’s house. One or more armed suspect or suspects approached Mr. Silva on the sidewalk as he walked towards his apartment unit inside the Imperial Courts Public Housing Development, where he lived with his family for over fifteen years. The suspect or suspects shot Mr. Silva several times in the upper body and left the scene in an unknown direction. Mr. Silva collapsed in the street where he was pronounced dead by the responding Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.
There is no description of the suspect or suspect at this time. The motive for this crime is under investigation.
